All Dungeons Zones and How to Unlock Them

Zones are arenas of 35 mobs of one type, grouped into themed stages from Farm to Sanctum. Each new zone pays about 8x more Money per kill, so climbing zones is the fastest way to grow your income.

How to open it: Type /zone to open the zone menu, or /zone max to buy the best zone you can afford. Pressing the offhand swap key with your sword does the same as /zone max.

There are 25 zone stages with 10 zones each, so 250 zones in total.

  • Unlock in order: You buy zones one at a time with Money, and you cannot skip ahead.
  • Stage bonus: Each stage adds a Souls and Essence bonus, from +2% in Farm up to +55% in Sanctum.
  • Sanctum: The last stage needs Prestige 1 or higher on top of its Money cost.
  • Mob rarities: Mobs come as Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary, worth 1x to 4x a normal mob.
  • Refills and resets: A zone refills when fewer than half its mobs are left, and all zones reset on a 25 minute timer.
  • Zone bosses: Bosses can spawn after kills and drop pet eggs, lootboxes, trait tickets, sword perk points and credits.
  • Night zones: Nether and End are night zones, but they still unlock with Money only.
  • No damage: You never take damage in a zone, so you can focus on killing fast.

Tips

  • Keep Auto Upgrade Zone on, since it moves you up the moment you can afford the next zone.
  • Use /zone go to jump back to your zone, and /zone timer to see when the next reset happens.
  • Plan your first prestige early, because Sanctum has the biggest stage bonus at +55%.

Example: Unlock cost is modifier x 15,000 x 15^(zone number - 1) x 0.7. So zone 2 costs 15x zone 1, and zone 3 costs 15 x 15 = 225x zone 1.

Rebirth, Ascension, Prestige and New Game Explained

Dungeons has four reset layers: rebirth, ascension, prestige and New Game. Each one wipes the layer below it but gives you a permanent boost, so every reset makes the next climb faster.

How to open it: Use /rebirth, /ascend, /prestige and /newgame to open each layer's menu. Spend rebirth points in /rebirth shop, and toggle /autorebirth to rebirth for you.

There are 12 ascensions and 14 prestiges.

  • Rebirth: Resets your Money, sword type and zones for a permanent Money multiplier and rebirth points. Rebirth 1 costs 750M at Prestige 0.
  • Rebirth cap: You can rebirth 50 times per ascension level, up to 500 at Ascension 9 and above.
  • Ascension: At your rebirth cap you ascend for more Money, attack speed, Souls, Essence and Sword XP.
  • Prestige: At Ascension 10 you prestige for Money x3.5, +150% Souls and Essence, +200% Sword XP and 15 Prestige Points.
  • Prestige Skill Tree: Prestige Points buy permanent nodes for Money, Souls, Essence, Sword XP, Damage and Enchant Proc.
  • Rebirth shop: Rebirth points buy Souls, Essence, Enchant Proc and Damage upgrades, plus Auto-Open Lucky Blocks.
  • New Game: At Prestige 14 and Ascension 10 you restart almost everything for a higher New Game number and leaderboard rank.
  • What New Game keeps: Prestige Points, the Prestige Skill Tree, prestige enchants, pets, attachments and idle upgrades all stay.

Tips

  • One rebirth chains through every rebirth your Money covers, so saving up is never wasted.
  • Rebirth shop upgrades are wiped on ascension, so spend your points before you ascend.
  • The Prestige Skill Tree is never reset, so every point you put in it lasts the whole season.
  • Each ascension adds 375 to your sword level cap, which unlocks the late money enchants.

Example: Your sword level cap is 500 plus 375 per ascension. At Ascension 4 that is 500 + 4 x 375 = 2,000, enough for Gold Rush at sword level 1,900.

All Dungeons Sword Enchants

Enchants are upgrades you buy for your sword, and they do most of your damage and income. Some deal extra damage, some pay bonus Souls or Essence, and money enchants multiply what each kill is worth.

How to open it: Open /sword or right-click your sword to buy enchants. Toggle auto enchant with /autoenchant, and open prestige enchants with /prestigeenchants.

There are 63 sword enchants: 32 Souls enchants, 27 Essence enchants and 4 prestige enchants.

  • Soul Greed and Soul Magnet: Soul Greed pays extra Souls on hits, and Soul Magnet multiplies those payouts up to 10x.
  • Essence Finder and Essence Magnet: Essence Finder pays extra Essence on hits, and Essence Magnet multiplies those payouts up to 5x.
  • Second Hand: When it procs, the enchant that triggered it fires a second time.
  • Momentum: Builds a money multiplier while you keep fighting, up to +40% Money at level 10.
  • Key Finder: Finds keys when you kill mobs, and Key Magnet doubles them.
  • Late money enchants: Bounty, Gold Rush, Jackpot, Royal Mint, War Chest and Sovereign unlock at high sword levels.
  • Prestige enchants: Credit Finder, Relic Hunter, Prestige Fortune and Sanctum Bane cost Prestige Points and survive New Game.
  • Worldsplitter: Your ultimate charges from active kills. Press Q with your sword to cast it for 10 seconds of x3 swing damage.

Tips

  • Auto enchant is on by default and spends 30% of your Souls and Essence every minute on the cheapest levels.
  • Each prestige raises every enchant's max level by 10%, so maxed enchants grow again after you prestige.
  • A maxed enchant keeps counting procs toward up to 10 enchant prestige tiers.
  • Attachments raise one enchant's proc chance, and crystals raise one currency's gains.

Example: A prestige enchant level costs its level number in Prestige Points, so maxing one at level 10 costs 1 + 2 + ... + 10 = 55 points.

Dungeons Armor Sets and Set Bonuses

Armor in Dungeons is a boost system, not protection. You pick one set, and each piece you own adds that set's bonus, so a full set gives 4 times the per-piece value.

How to open it: Type /armor to choose, buy, enchant and prestige your armor sets.

There are 3 Shard sets in the armor shop: Money, Souls and Essence.

  • Selected set only: Only the set you have selected gives boosts, so pick the one that fits your goal.
  • Shard sets: Money, Souls and Essence sets cost 100,000 Shards per piece and give +0.5 per piece.
  • Crate sets: Seasonal sets come from weekly crate vouchers and boost several stats at once.
  • Pegasus: The Season 6 opener gives +1.25 per piece to Money, Souls, Essence, Shards and Sword XP.
  • Sphinx: Gives +5.0 per piece to five currencies, plus +0.5 Enchant Proc, Attack Speed and Hero Pet Proc.
  • Armor abilities: Every piece has Soul, Essence, Sword and Enchant abilities up to level 15, paid in Shards.
  • Armor prestige: Prestige a set up to 5 times for +10% per level on its currency boosts.

Tips

  • Each ability proc gives +1.5 to its stat for a short time, at up to 0.5% chance per hit per piece.
  • Buy all 4 pieces of one set before starting another, since only your selected set counts.
  • A full crate set can be withdrawn back into a voucher.

Example: Pegasus gives +1.25 per piece, so a full set of 4 gives +5.0 each to Money, Souls, Essence, Shards and Sword XP.

The Auto Fighter, AFK Mob and Mob Slayer

Dungeons has three idle tools: the Auto Fighter, the AFK mob and the Mob Slayer. They keep you earning while you step away, but active play is always faster.

How to open it: Type /autofighter for the Auto Fighter, /afkmob to start hitting your AFK mob, and /mobslayer for the Mob Slayer. Use /afkmob upgrades for AFK upgrades.

  • Auto Fighter: Free, it moves you around your zone and attacks mobs with your sword's damage per second.
  • 70% Money: Auto Fighter kills earn 70% of normal kill money and skip combo, ultimate, powerups and collectibles.
  • Auto Fighter upgrades: Attack Speed and Move Speed go to level 10 and cost credits, Souls and Shards.
  • AFK mob: It has infinite health and pays no Money, but every hit pays Souls, Essence, Shards and Sword XP.
  • Haste upgrade: Speeds AFK mob swings from 1 per second up to 1 per 3 ticks, capped at your attack speed.
  • Free Booster Crate: Your first AFK mob hit gives you a free Booster Crate.
  • Mob Slayer: A battery-powered helper that fights next to you for bonus income, then recharges.

Tips

  • Press sneak to stop the Auto Fighter when you come back to play.
  • The Auto Fighter does not work in the World Boss arena, so be at your keyboard for boss fights.
  • A Max Auto Fighter Token sets both Auto Fighter upgrades to 10, and a Max AFK Mob Token maxes all four AFK upgrades.

Example: At max Attack Speed the Auto Fighter hits about once every 0.9 seconds instead of once every 2.25 seconds.

Dungeons World Boss Schedule and Rewards

The World Boss is The Hollow King, a giant Warden that the whole server fights together. Every hit counts as 1 point, so attack speed and procs matter more than sword damage.

How to open it: Type /boss to see its status, /boss join to enter the fight, and /boss leave to step out.

The boss spawns 8 times a day, every 3 hours on the hour in UTC.

  • Countdown: A 10 minute countdown is announced, and you can join during the countdown or the fight.
  • Fight length: Fights are tuned to last about 5 minutes, with a 10 minute limit.
  • Shields: The boss shields itself at 60% and 30% and summons Hollow Guards you must kill first.
  • Rallies: At 75%, 50% and 25% health, rallies make your hits worth double.
  • Abilities: It can knock you up, curse your hits or silence everyone for 4 seconds.
  • Contribution tiers: Your tier compares your hits to the average fighter, from Participant at 0.25x up to Gold at 2.0x, with MVP for the top 3.
  • Booster: Everyone who hits the boss gets +100% Damage and +100% Sword XP for 20 minutes.

Tips

  • You need 10 hits over 10 seconds to be ranked, so start swinging right away.
  • Leaving with /boss leave keeps your hits counted.
  • Your Auto Fighter stops in the arena on its own, so be ready to swing yourself.

Example: If the average fighter lands 100 hits, you need 50 for Bronze, 100 for Silver and 200 for Gold.

Dungeons Hero Pets, Pets and Auras

Pets and auras are always-on boosts that stack on top of your sword. Hero pets add an ability that fires on hits, normal pets add steady boosts, and auras grow just by swinging.

How to open it: Type /pets to manage pets, traits and egg storage. Type /auras to manage and upgrade auras, and /aurahistory to see recent upgrades.

There are 6 hero pets, 4 normal pets and 6 auras.

  • Hero pets: You run 1 hero pet at a time, with a passive boost and an ability on a shared 45 second cooldown.
  • Pinball: Boosts Sword XP, and its ability ends with Sword XP +100% for 20 seconds.
  • Shade: Boosts Enchant Proc and dashes between mobs, then gives Attack Speed +30% for 15 seconds.
  • Juggles: Boosts Damage, spikes mobs from the air, then gives Damage +100% for 15 seconds.
  • Haste, Thor and Chain Strike: These three boost Souls and Essence and pay out Souls and Essence when they fire.
  • Normal pets: Money, Souls, Essence and Sword XP pets level up for more boost, with 1 active or 2 with a booster cookie.
  • Pet rarities: Common, Rare, Legendary, Mythical, Masterful and Pristine, with max levels from 30 up to 100.
  • Auras: You start with all 6 at Tier 1 Common, and swinging upgrades them through 7 rarities and 6 tiers.

Tips

  • You can equip 4 auras, or 5 with an Aura Slot Voucher.
  • Souls and Essence auras reach +7.5 at Tier 6 Talon, the highest values of any aura.
  • Pick a hero pet that matches your goal: Pinball for Sword XP, Juggles for Damage, Haste or Thor for Souls and Essence.

Dungeons Tribes and Tribe Upgrades

A tribe is a team of up to 8 players that earns trophies together from active play. Trophies decide a weekly ranking and buy upgrades that boost every member.

How to open it: Type /tribe create <name> to start one and /tribe invite <player> to add friends. Use /tribe for info, top and upgrade, and /gc or /tribechat to talk.

There are 4 tribe upgrades, each with 10 levels.

  • Trophies: Members earn 1 per hit, 50 to 250 per mob kill by rarity and 1,000 to 15,000 per boss.
  • Weekly race: The trophy race resets every Saturday at 3PM Eastern, and the top 15 tribes are posted.
  • Trophy Boost: +5% trophies per level.
  • Critical Strike: 2% crit chance per level, up to 20%, and crits deal x1.25 damage.
  • Soul Boost: +5% Souls per level for every member.
  • Essence Boost: +4.5% Essence per level for every member.
  • Roles: Tribes have a Leader, Co-Leaders, Captains and Members.

Tips

  • Upgrade levels persist through the weekly reset, so early upgrades pay off all season.
  • Upgrades cost Shards from the buyer plus trophies from the tribe's weekly pool.
  • Stay at 8 members or fewer, because a tribe over the cap earns no trophies until it trims down.

Example: Soul Boost at level 10 gives 10 x 5% = +50% Souls to every member of the tribe.

Dungeons Powerups, Combos, Events and Skills

Beyond your gear, Dungeons has many short and permanent boosts. Powerups, combos and server events reward active play, while skills and your mob collection add permanent multipliers.

How to open it: Type /skills to open the skill trees and /mobcollection to view your collection. Powerups, combos and events happen on their own while you fight.

There are 5 powerups, 8 combo tiers, 5 random events, 4 skill trees and 4 collection rarities.

  • Powerups: One spawns about every 30 seconds while you fight. Walk over it within 30 seconds to collect it.
  • Money powerup: Gives x5 money on active kills for 15 seconds.
  • Combo: Active kills build a streak, from Warmed Up at 10 kills up to GODSLAYER at 2,500 for x2.00 kill worth.
  • Random events: Every 30 minutes two events start at once and last 30 minutes, like Damage Heaven and Lucky Hour.
  • Skills: Souls, Essence, Enchant Proc and Damage trees have 200 levels each, bought for 10,000 Swings per level.
  • Mob collection: Each of 73 zone mob species drops collectibles on active kills, each rarity a permanent unlock.
  • Salvage: Duplicate collectibles salvage for 1 to 15 Salvage Points by rarity.

Tips

  • Your combo drops one tier after 5 minutes without a hit, so short breaks are fine.
  • Auto Fighter kills skip powerups, combo and collectibles, so play actively during events.
  • Completing all four rarities of one species is worth +0.15x.
  • Skills reset on New Game, so do not save Swings for later.

Example: Each skill level gives +0.015x, so a full tree of 200 levels gives +3.0x and costs 2,000,000 Swings.
