All 10 Cobblemon Gyms: how it works

Gyms are the main battle ladder on TalonMC Cobblemon, running in a fixed order from Rock to Dragon. Each gym has three trainers and a leader, and every leader win pays money, claim blocks and a random item drop.

How to open it: Type /gyms to open the gym menu, see each level cap and teleport to any gym you have unlocked. Use /levelstop to keep a Pokemon under the cap.

There are 10 gyms and 4 difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard and Nightmare.

  • Fixed order: You clear each gym before the next one unlocks, and fight trainers 1, 2 and 3 before the leader.
  • Party level cap: The cap applies to every Pokemon in your party, not only the ones you send out.
  • Badges: Your first leader win on each difficulty awards that gym's badge, from the Boulder Badge to the Legend Badge.
  • Normal: Unlocks after all 10 gyms on Easy and /rankup level 5, with bigger, higher-level teams.
  • Hard: Unlocks after all 10 gyms on Normal and /rankup level 10, and every gym Pokemon has perfect IVs.
  • Nightmare: Unlocks after all 10 gyms on Hard and /rankup level 15, with full competitive six-Pokemon teams.
  • Leader cooldown: Beating a leader puts that gym on a 3 hour cooldown for that difficulty.
  • Reward preview: Left-click a leader to see the rewards for your current difficulty.

Note: If any Pokemon in your party is above the level cap, the trainer will not battle you.

Tips

  • Losing does not reset your progress inside a gym, so heal up and challenge the same trainer again.
  • Battles are singles and gym trainers allow one healing item per battle, so plan your team around that.
  • On Nightmare your cap sits 12 levels below the leader's best Pokemon, and leaders can drop a Shinigami Key.
  • When your team reaches about level 18, start with Brock's Rock Gym on Easy.

Example: Leader rewards grow by $10,000 and 50 claim blocks per gym. Brock pays $10,000 and 100 claim blocks, Drayden pays $100,000 and 550, so one full clear of all 10 gyms pays $550,000 and 3,250 claim blocks.

How gyms work

Type /gyms to open the gym menu. It shows each gym's trainers, leader, badge and level cap, and clicking an unlocked gym teleports you there. A Toggle Difficulty button switches between the difficulties you have unlocked.

Gyms go in order from Rock to Dragon, and inside each gym you fight trainer 1, 2 and 3 before the leader. If any Pokemon in your party is above the level cap, the trainer will not battle you, so use /levelstop to stop a Pokemon gaining EXP at a chosen level.

Losing does not reset your progress inside a gym. Heal up and challenge the same trainer again. Beating the leader pays out and puts that gym on a 3 hour cooldown for that difficulty.

  • Battles are singles. Gym trainers allow one healing item per battle.
  • A battle that stops responding for 30 seconds, or that you walk more than 64 blocks away from, ends so you can rechallenge.
  • Gym worlds have no damage, no hunger, no building and no wild spawns.
  • Left-click a leader to preview the rewards for your difficulty.

What Nightmare difficulty means

Nightmare is the last gym difficulty. It unlocks after you clear all 10 gyms on Hard and reach /rankup level 15.

Leaders bring six-Pokemon competitive teams with held items like Focus Sash, Choice items and Assault Vest, chosen natures, EVs and movesets. Some teams include Mega Evolutions and legendaries such as Diancie, Darkrai, Kyurem, Regieleki and Deoxys.

Your level cap on Nightmare is 12 levels below the leader's best Pokemon, so you are always fighting up. Nightmare leaders can also drop a Shinigami Key.
