Land Claims: how it works
Land claims protect your base from griefing. Untrusted players cannot build, open containers or pour water and lava in your claim, so your work stays safe.
How to open it: Get a Claim Wand with /claimwand or from the free Starter kit. Type /claims to list your claims and /flag inside a claim for its settings menu.
- Claim Wand: Left-click point 1, right-click point 2, then shift + right-click to create the claim.
- Subclaims: Shift + left-click switches to subclaim mode so you can carve out areas inside a claim.
- Trust: Share your claim with
/trust,/containertrust,/accesstrustor/permissiontrust, and remove it with/untrust. - Claim flags:
/flagsets rules like explosions, fluid flow, crop trampling, entry, item drops and flight. - Claim list:
/claims lists your claims and can teleport you to one. - Trading claim blocks:
/withdrawclaimblocksturns claim blocks into a redeemable item, with a minimum of 100.
Note: Teleporting to a claim through /claims costs $50,000, and /claimwand has a 1 minute cooldown.
Tips
- Survival Levels give 42,750 claim blocks in total, so levelling up is the main way to grow your claim.
- Rank kits give weekly and one-time claim blocks, from Squire up to Immortal.
- Use
/containertrustfor friends who only need your chests, not full build access.
How land claims work
Survival is grief protected with GriefPrevention. Grab a Claim Wand with /claimwand or from the free Starter kit, left-click one corner, right-click the opposite corner, then shift + right-click to create the claim. Shift + left-click switches to subclaim mode so you can carve out areas inside a claim.
Claims work in the Overworld, Nether, End and Resource World, but not at spawn, in the Deadzone or in the Mine World. Untrusted players cannot build, open containers or pour water and lava in your claim.
Owners and managers can run /flag inside a claim to open a menu of claim flags, covering things like explosions, fluid flow, crop trampling, item drops, entry and flight.
- Trust friends with /trust (build), /containertrust, /accesstrust or /permissiontrust; remove with /untrust.
- /claims lists your claims and can teleport you to one for $50,000.
- Survival Levels give 42,750 claim blocks in total, and rank kits and crates give more.
- /withdrawclaimblocks turns spare claim blocks into a tradeable item (minimum 100).
