TalonMC Survival Jobs: how it works

Jobs pay you money and job XP for things you already do, like mining, chopping logs or farming. They are your steady income, and pay per action grows every level up to level 100.

How to open it: Type /jobs to join, quit and view jobs and the current boosts. Type /jobstop to see the job leaderboards.

There are currently 14 jobs.

  • Miner: Pays for natural ores and scales with ore value, from coal and copper up to emerald and ancient debris.
  • Lumberjack: Pays for any log, stripped log or wood block you break.
  • Farmer: Pays for fully grown crops like wheat, carrots, nether wart, melon and sugar cane.
  • Hunter: Pays for mob kills, but never for killing players.
  • Explorer: Pays per block you travel on foot, from $0.01 at level 1 to $1.00 at level 100.
  • Enforcer: A Deadzone job that pays for Thug and Cop kills, with tougher mobs paying more.
  • Scavenger: A Deadzone job that pays for rewards from Deadzone loot crates.
  • Job boosts: Every 48 hours, 4 jobs get a money boost and 4 get an XP boost, between 1.2x and 2.0x.

Note: Blocks placed by players never pay, crops must be fully grown, and Silk Touch ore pays nothing for Miner.

Tips

  • You start with 3 job slots and unlock a 4th, 5th and 6th at Survival Levels 10, 20 and 30.
  • Quitting a job is free and keeps your level, so you can swap jobs to chase the current boosts.
  • Enforcer and Scavenger are the only jobs that pay inside the Deadzone, and they pay well from level 1.

Example: A level 100 Explorer earns $1.00 per block walked, so a 1,000 block walk pays $1,000 before any boost.

How jobs work

Open /jobs to join or quit jobs for free. You start with 3 job slots and unlock a 4th, 5th and 6th at Survival Levels 10, 20 and 30. Quitting a job keeps your level.

Every action a job tracks pays money and 1 job XP, and the pay per action grows every level up to level 100. Blocks placed by players never pay, crops must be fully grown and Silk Touch ore does not count for Miner.

Every 48 hours a new boost cycle picks 4 jobs for a money boost and 4 for an XP boost, between 1.2x and 2.0x depending on the job. The boosted jobs are announced in chat and shown with a countdown in the Rotating Job Boosters menu.

  • Enforcer and Scavenger are Deadzone jobs and are the only jobs that pay inside the Deadzone.
  • Fisher is retired; fishing progress now lives in Angling.
  • /jobstop shows per-job and combined job level leaderboards.

Making money on Survival

Jobs are the steady income: pick jobs that match how you play, and check /jobs for the current 48-hour boosts. Miner pays the most per action and scales with ore value; Deadzone jobs Enforcer and Scavenger pay well from level 1.

Deadzone runs pay through vouchers, contracts ($2.5M to $6M each), boss pulls and The Vault, but only if you extract. Daily missions pay money, keys, credits and job boosts every day. Angling fish and treasure sell through /sell, and server fishing challenges pay $25M to the first finisher.

Sell Wands sell a whole chest at shop prices with one right-click, and Legendary Spawners farm mob drops with up to 3x drop multipliers.

All Survival jobs and what they pay for
