Yes. Cobblemon is a Fabric mod, so the client needs it installed. The TalonMC modpack bundles Cobblemon 1.7 and every client mod the server uses, so one install is all you need.

No. Cobblemon only runs on Java Edition. Bedrock players can join every other TalonMC gamemode.

Minecraft Java 1.21.1 on Fabric with Cobblemon 1.7. The modpack sets this up for you.

Both add Pokemon to Minecraft. Cobblemon is a newer Fabric mod with a blocky style that matches Minecraft and is actively updated. Pixelmon is the older Forge mod. TalonMC runs Cobblemon.

Finish one of the 8 legendary quest chains, fight at a legendary monument in the open world, or use a Spawn Key. Each quest chain can be replayed 30 days after you finish it.

Yes. TalonMC Cobblemon is a survival multiplayer world with land claims, jobs, a server shop, an auction house, the GTS and trading, built around gyms, raids and legendary quests.

Fabric. The TalonMC modpack runs Cobblemon 1.7 on Minecraft Java 1.21.1 with Fabric.

There is no ranked ladder. Competitive players can take on the Nightmare gyms, where leaders bring full competitive teams.

TalonMC does not publish an official RAM requirement for the modpack. If the game stutters, allocate more memory in your launcher or turn down Distant Horizons and shaders.

There are 10 gyms: Rock, Water, Grass, Fire, Psychic, Electric, Normal, Ice, Dark and Dragon. Each has three trainers and a leader, and four difficulties.

On Easy the caps run from 18 at the Rock Gym to 78 at the Dragon Gym, and on Nightmare from 53 to 86. Every Pokemon in your party must be at or below the cap to battle.

Beat a gym's three trainers and then its leader. Your first leader win on each difficulty gives that gym's badge, along with money, claim blocks and a random item drop.

Yes. You must clear each earlier gym on your current difficulty before the next one unlocks, and inside a gym you fight the trainers in order before the leader.

Clear all 10 gyms on the previous difficulty and reach the matching /rankup level: 5 for Normal, 10 for Hard and 15 for Nightmare.

Leaders use full competitive six-Pokemon teams with held items, set movesets, Mega Evolutions and legendaries, and your level cap sits 12 levels below their best Pokemon. Nightmare leaders can also drop a Shinigami Key.

You keep your progress in that gym. Heal your team and challenge the same trainer again; there is no cooldown between attempts.

Eight chains are active, unlocked in this order: Marshadow, Uxie, Mesprit, Manaphy, Azelf, Diancie, Hoopa and Shaymin. They have 26 steps in total, and each chain can be replayed 30 days after you finish it.

Yes. Legendary and mythical Pokemon spawn with 3 guaranteed perfect IVs, except the Regi family, whose IVs are fully random.

Yes. Every Spawn Key from Legendary Quests has a 2% shiny chance when used. The legendary spawns at Level 70 in front of you and you have to catch it.

Hunt them in the wild, breed for them, or run dungeons, where every clear has a 1 in 65 shiny reward chance and a shiny is guaranteed within 65 clears. The Weekend Shiny Hunt and weekly Shiny Hunter hunt reward shiny catches.

Each egg has a 1 in 4096 shiny chance, plus 0.1% for every shiny parent.

Put a compatible pair in a pasture with /breed. An egg arrives after 3 hours and 5,000 steps walked, or after 6 hours regardless, and hatches on the same rule. Destiny Knot passes 5 IVs and Everstone passes the nature.

Pay the entry fee in /dungeons, enter with an empty inventory and beat 6 solo waves. Clearing wave 6 spawns a reward Pokemon with guaranteed perfect IVs that you are certain to catch, plus Dungeon Coins and Poke Balls.

Easy costs $5,000,000, Normal $10,000,000, Hard $15,000,000, Nightmare $25,000,000 and Hardcore $40,000,000.

Raids are server-wide boss fights at 1 PM and 8 PM Eastern on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Join with /raid during the 5-minute window, fight for up to 20 minutes, and earn rewards by your place on the contribution leaderboard.

Hunts are goals in /hunts: 3 daily hunts, 3 weekly hunts, 1 monthly legendary hunt and 60-minute special hunts twice a day. They pay money, keys, items and Hunt Points for the Hunt Shop.

Join jobs, beat gym leaders, complete hunts and Legendary Quests, finish bingo rows, place in raids and sell items with /shop or /sell. Every vote also pays $2,500.

There are 15: Miner, Caver, Excavator, Lumberjack, Netherman, Botanist, Fisher, Hunter, Explorer, Farmer, Trader, Brewer, Battler, Catcher and Smelter. You can hold 3 at once, rising to 6 through /rankup.

Use /trade for a direct trade, or list Pokemon on the GTS with /gts for anyone to buy. Items can be sold on the auction house with /ah.

Get a Claim Wand with /claimwand and mark two corners. Claims use claim blocks from voting, gym leaders, /rankup and the battlepass, and you add friends with /trust.

Yes. Teleport to each other with /tpa, share a base with /trust, trade with /trade and fight raids together. Dungeons are solo.

Yes. Use /freerank to get Rookie after 10 minutes of playtime, 2 votes and joining the TalonMC Discord.

Gyms, dungeons, raids, quests and legendaries are all earned by playing, and every crate key can be earned in game. The store sells Credits for ranks, crates and cosmetics, and the Plus+ subscription adds money, XP and catch-rate boosts; Credits can also be earned in game, up to 3,000 a month from the vote streak.

Vote every day: 5 votes in a day give 10 Credits and a streak day, and the 30-day streak pays 3,000 Credits in total. Credits also come from /rankup levels, monthly hunts, special hunt podiums, raids and the Hunt Shop.

Each vote gives a Vote Key, $2,500 and 250 claim blocks plus a vote wheel spin. Voting 5 times a day builds a streak with rewards up to day 30.

/rankup is a 50-level progression track. Each level asks for votes, player quests, money and a job level, and pays keys, claim blocks, Credits and new commands, and it unlocks the higher gym difficulties.

PokeSkins are custom-skinned Pokemon from limited skin crates, viewed with /skins. The current Halloween set includes Mewtwo, Marshadow, Lugia, Chandelure, Umbreon, Mimikyu and Hatterene, and 3 duplicates of a skin can be exchanged for its shiny version.

Yes. The modpack includes Mega Showdown, so Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Dynamax and Terastallization all work in battle. Mega Stones are sold in the dungeon shop and found in Megastone Lootboxes.

The Resource World is a separate world for gathering materials, reached with /rtp. It is replaced with a fresh world from time to time, so build your base in World 1 or World 2 instead.
