Skyblock terms explained

| Island | Your own floating base in the void. Everything you build, farm and earn grows from it. |
| Cobblestone generator | Lava flowing into water makes endless cobblestone. On many servers upgrades turn it into ores. |
| Spawner | A block that spawns mobs on a timer. Stacking spawners in one block is the classic AFK money farm. |
| Minion | A helper that works your island for you, usually mining in front of a generator. |
| Island worth | A score from the valuable blocks on your island, used for the island top. |
| Island top | The leaderboard of islands. On TalonMC it runs weekly, with separate Solo and Co-op boards. |
| Co-op | Sharing one island with friends, so you build and earn together. |
| Prestige | Resetting a level for a permanent boost. TalonMC Skyblock has skill prestiges and island prestiges. |
| Season | A fresh start for everyone. TalonMC Skyblock is on Season 9. |
Your first session on TalonMC Skyblock
- Join play.talonmc.net on Java or Bedrock and pick Skyblock from the hub.
- Type
/is create <name>to make your island. Names can be up to 16 letters or numbers. - Open
/freekitsand claim the one-time Catchup kit with 32 Villager Spawners, a Collector Chest, Fire Scrolls and Skill XP boosters. - Hold your Harvester Hoe and farm wheat. It auto-sells your crops and pays Crop Coins, and you claim level rewards in
/skills. - Spend Crop Coins in
/upgradeon Crop Coin Finder, Crop Crusher and Vein Farmer first. - Visit the Mining World with
/mineand the Foraging World with/forage, and vote daily with/votefor keys and streak rewards.
