# TalonMC Survival SMP Wiki

**Short answer:** TalonMC Survival is a grief-protected SMP where you claim land, build, work jobs, level up and collect. You can play solo or trust friends into your claim and build together. PvP is off by default and keep inventory is on, so you choose how much risk you take. Join at `play.talonmc.net` on Java or Bedrock and pick Survival SMP in the hub.

- **Step 4**Join up to 3 jobs with `/jobs` that match how you play, and check which jobs are boosted this cycle.
- **Step 5**Open `/missions` for the daily board, and open `/tradingcards` to claim your 3 free Starter packs.

## TalonMC Survival Jobs

Jobs pay you money and job XP for things you already do, like mining, chopping logs or farming. They are your steady income, and pay per action grows every level up to level 100.

**How to open it:** Type `/jobs` to join, quit and view jobs and the current boosts. Type `/jobstop` to see the job leaderboards.

There are currently 14 jobs.

- **Miner**: Pays for natural ores and scales with ore value, from coal and copper up to emerald and ancient debris.
- **Lumberjack**: Pays for any log, stripped log or wood block you break.
- **Farmer**: Pays for fully grown crops like wheat, carrots, nether wart, melon and sugar cane.
- **Hunter**: Pays for mob kills, but never for killing players.
- **Explorer**: Pays per block you travel on foot, from $0.01 at level 1 to $1.00 at level 100.
- **Enforcer**: A Deadzone job that pays for Thug and Cop kills, with tougher mobs paying more.
- **Scavenger**: A Deadzone job that pays for rewards from Deadzone loot crates.
- **Job boosts**: Every 48 hours, 4 jobs get a money boost and 4 get an XP boost, between 1.2x and 2.0x.

**Note:** Blocks placed by players never pay, crops must be fully grown, and Silk Touch ore pays nothing for Miner.

**Tips**

- You start with 3 job slots and unlock a 4th, 5th and 6th at Survival Levels 10, 20 and 30.
- Quitting a job is free and keeps your level, so you can swap jobs to chase the current boosts.
- Enforcer and Scavenger are the only jobs that pay inside the Deadzone, and they pay well from level 1.

Example: A level 100 Explorer earns $1.00 per block walked, so a 1,000 block walk pays $1,000 before any boost.

## Survival Levels 1 to 100 and Their Rewards

Survival Levels are your main long-term goal. Each level unlocks something useful, like new commands, homes, warps, auction slots, job slots or claim blocks, and every level gives a Level crate.

**How to open it:** Type `/levelup` to see each level's requirements, then click the next level once you meet them.

There are currently 100 Survival Levels.

- **Level 1**: Unlocks `/jobs` and only needs 5 votes.
- **Level 10**: Gives your 4th job slot and +5% spawner chance.
- **Level 17**: Unlocks `/back` with a 5 minute cooldown.
- **Level 20 and 30**: Give your 5th and 6th job slots.
- **Level 26**: Unlocks `/condense`.
- **Level 47**: Unlocks `/ec`, your portable ender chest.
- **Level 50**: Gives the Veteran tag, 1,000 credits and 2x job XP and money vouchers.
- **Level 100**: Gives the PvP Champion cosmetic set, 1,000 credits, 3x job vouchers and +15% spawner chance.

**Note:** Money is spent when you level up, but votes, completed quests and job levels are only checked, never spent.

**Tips**

- Vote every day with `/vote`, since lifetime votes are part of almost every level's requirements.
- Across all 100 levels you earn 9,175 credits, 42,750 claim blocks, 12 extra homes and 10 extra player warps.
- Levels go in order, so check the next one early and plan which job to level for it.

Example: From level 51, money rises $50M per level from $800M, with +4 quests and +10 votes per level. So level 60 asks for $1.25B, 230 completed quests and 580 lifetime votes.

## Deadzone

The Deadzone is a PvE extraction mode in its own world. You loot crates, fight Thugs, Cops and bosses, then stand on an Extraction Pad to bank your haul. There is no PvP inside: the zone itself is the enemy.

**How to open it:** Type `/dz` to open the Deadzone menu, then use `/dz join` to drop in. Type `/extract` to find the nearest open Extraction Pad and your channel time.

There are currently 3 loot rings, 6 loot tiers, 6 bosses and 6 contract types.

- **Your own gear**: You always keep your own gear, even if you die.
- **Unsecured loot**: Loot you have not extracted is lost if you die before reaching a pad.
- **Safe pocket**: Your rarest reward is kept automatically, and Deep Pockets upgrades add more slots.
- **Loot rings**: The Outskirts, Inner Ring and Dead Center get tougher and richer the deeper you go.
- **Day and Night Raids**: They swap every 30 minutes. Night has better loot and 1.5x voucher payout but tougher enemies.
- **Wanted level**: Up to 10 stars rise with the value you carry, bringing bigger Cop squads but better loot.
- **Bosses**: A new boss spawns in Dead Center every 20 minutes, and the top 3 damagers get a Legendary pull.
- **The Vault**: Stand on it for 15 seconds without being hit to win 2 Legendary pulls and a $3M voucher.

**Note:** Vouchers drop on the ground when you die and are never protected, so extract before you push your luck.

**Tips**

- Your first 3 runs come with a free iron armor, iron sword and food starter kit.
- You get 3 contracts per run, worth $2.5M to $6M each, but they only pay when you extract.
- Stepping off a pad cancels extraction and taking a hit pauses it, so clear nearby mobs first.
- Logging out in combat drops everything, and repeating a teleport within 10 seconds abandons the run.

Example: Extraction takes 10 seconds plus 1 second per $5M carried. Carrying $15M means a 13 second channel on the pad.

## Minecraft Trading Cards

Trading Cards are a collection game with Minecraft-themed cards in 6 sets. Every card comes in 4 prints, every pull goes into your binder automatically, and completing sets pays out more packs.

**How to open it:** Type `/tradingcards` (or `/tc`, `/cards`) for the menu, goals and top collectors, and `/tradingcards` binder for your binder. Right-click a pack to open it.

There are currently 198 cards in 6 sets, for 792 prints in total.

- **Prints**: Every card comes as Common, Rare, Legendary or Mythical, and Mythical pulls are announced server-wide.
- **Packs**: Every pack holds 5 cards, and the higher Mega and Ultimate tiers give better rarity chances than Starter.
- **Fusing**: 8 spare copies of a print fuse into 1 copy of the next print up.
- **Mastering a card**: Own all 4 prints of a card to master it.
- **Set rewards**: Completing a set pays 2 Mega packs, and mastering every print in a set pays 5 Ultimate packs.
- **Collector Goals**: 35 goals across six ladders: Packs, Collection, Sets, Legendary, Mythical and Mastery.
- **Display copies**: Legendary and Mythical pulls also give a display copy you can put in an item frame.

**Note:** Your first copy of a print is never used for fusing, so it always stays in your binder.

**Tips**

- Claim your 3 free Starter packs in `/tradingcards` as soon as you join.
- Every daily mission pays a card pack, so the missions board is your steadiest pack source.
- Check the in-game Pack Odds book to see the odds for each pack tier.

Example: Collect 8 spare Common copies of a card and they fuse into 1 Rare copy, while your first Common stays in the binder.

## Daily Missions Board

The Daily Missions Board gives you a fresh set of missions every day across 8 categories. Every mission pays a trading card pack, keys and credits, which makes it one of the best daily habits on Survival.

**How to open it:** Type `/missions` to open the board and see the countdown to the next reset at 2PM Eastern.

There are currently 40 missions a day: 5 in each of 8 categories.

- **Mining**: Break natural ores and stone, with missions like Strip Miner and Nether Prospector.
- **Fishing**: Catch fish and treasure, with missions like Full Nets and Treasure Diver.
- **Deadzone**: Loot chests and kill mobs, with missions like Night Shift and Boss Hunter.
- **Combat**: Fight wild mobs, with missions like Night Watch and Warden Slayer.
- **Farming**: Harvest grown wheat and sugar cane, with missions like Harvest Day and Farm Empire.
- **Exploration**: Visit biomes and loot structure chests, with missions like Biome Hopper and Ancient City.
- **Collector**: Open trading card packs, with missions like Pack Rat and Completionist.
- **Board Cleared**: Finish all 5 missions in a category for a bonus, and clear all 8 for the Board Cleared reward.

**Note:** There are no rerolls, so pick the categories that fit how you already play before the daily reset.

**Tips**

- Each category has 2 Tier I, 2 Tier II and 1 Tier III mission, and each mission has several steps.
- Tier II missions add a 1.5x job money boost for 30 minutes, so start them before a long job session.
- Every player gets the same 40 mission slots regardless of rank.

Example: A Tier III mission pays 1 Ultimate pack, 6 Quest keys, 6 Obsidian keys, 3 Level keys, 12 credits and 2x job XP for 60 minutes.

[Full Daily Missions Board guide with tables →](https://www.talonmc.net/survival/missions/)

## Legendary Spawners

Legendary Spawners are TalonMC's custom spawners. Higher tiers spawn more mobs, faster, with bigger drop multipliers, which makes them a strong way to farm mob drops.

**How to open it:** Place a spawner, then right-click it to see its tier, stack size, delay and drop multiplier.

There are currently 5 spawner tiers.

- **Tier 1**: Spawns 1 to 2 mobs every 30 to 40 seconds with a 1x drop multiplier.
- **Tier 3**: Spawns 2 to 3 mobs, stacks mobs into one entity and has a 1.5x drop multiplier.
- **Tier 5**: Spawns 3 to 5 mobs every 8 to 12 seconds with a 3x drop multiplier and always drops XP.
- **Spawner stacking**: Place spawners of the same mob and tier onto a placed one to stack up to 250.
- **Mob stacking**: Tiers 3 to 5 stack mobs into one entity, up to 2,500.
- **No Silk Touch needed**: Breaking a Legendary Spawner returns it, and sneak-breaking picks up the whole stack.

**Note:** Spawners only run with a player within 24 blocks, so build your farm near where you spend time.

**Tips**

- Sneak-place puts down your whole held stack at once.
- A tier never changes once placed, so stack more of the same tier to grow it.
- Explosions cannot destroy Legendary Spawners, and breaking one needs build access in the claim.

## Custom Fishing

Angling replaces vanilla fishing with a timed reel. You catch fish across 7 rarities, plus treasure, sea creatures and sea bosses, and your fish sell through `/sell`.

**How to open it:** Cast, wait for the boss bar to show REEL!, then right-click inside the window. Type `/fishing` (or `/fish`) for the Angling menu and `/bait` for baits.

There are currently 51 fish in 7 rarities.

- **Timed reel**: Reeling too early or too late loses the catch, and a perfect reel pays a bonus.
- **Angling Level**: Levels up to 100 and speeds up bites and improves rare fish, treasure and double catches.
- **Pristine Fish**: The one-of-a-kind top rarity, above Mythical fish like the Void Leviathan.
- **Sea creatures and bosses**: 6 sea creatures and 2 sea bosses, the Drowned Warlord and the Abyssal Leviathan.
- **Baits**: Luck Bait, Treasure Bait, Hunter's Chum and Glutton Bait each last 100 catches.
- **Trophies**: Milestones per rarity, fish and sea creature, and rarity trophies give permanent bonuses.
- **Server challenges**: The first finisher of each of the 4 challenges wins a title and $25M, and all 4 done unlocks Bountiful Seas (+33% fish prices).

**Note:** Fishing is blocked at spawn and from boats, so find a quiet shore.

**Tips**

- Auto-reel can be toggled in the `/fishing menu`.
- Check `/fishchallenges` for server challenges and `/fishtop` for the leaderboard.
- Themed rods from armor crates add luck, extra fish or reel bonuses.

## Survival SMP Custom Armor Sets and 2 and 4 Piece Bonuses

Custom armor sets are netherite-tier, four-piece sets with permanent set bonuses. Wearing 2 pieces gives a starter bonus, and the full set adds much stronger effects.

**How to open it:** Most sets come from seasonal armor crates. Wear the pieces and the bonus applies on its own.

There are currently over 20 custom armor sets.

- **Hellborn**: The full set gives Strength III, Speed III, Haste III, Fire Resistance and +40% melee damage.
- **Frostbite**: The full set gives Strength II, Speed II, Haste II, Water Breathing and +35% melee damage.
- **Muertos**: The full set gives Strength IV, +70% melee damage to mobs, +6 hearts and Resistance II.
- **Ghost**: The full set gives Strength III, +50% melee damage to mobs, +4 hearts and Resistance I.
- **Nexus**: The full set gives Jump Boost III, Resistance II, +40% damage and no fall damage.
- **Magic**: The full set gives Strength III, Speed III, Haste III, Resistance II, +35% damage and Mana Ward.
- **Specter**: The full set gives Speed III, Haste II, Slow Falling and invisibility while sneaking with the helmet.

**Note:** Armor crates are seasonal, so check which ones are open in game before saving up for a set.

**Tips**

- Bonuses kick in at 2 and 4 pieces, and some sets have a bonus at 3 pieces too.
- Hellborn and Frostbite come from the Fire and Ice crate, and Muertos and Ghost from the Halloween crate.

## Land Claims

Land claims protect your base from griefing. Untrusted players cannot build, open containers or pour water and lava in your claim, so your work stays safe.

**How to open it:** Get a Claim Wand with `/claimwand` or from the free Starter kit. Type `/claims` to list your claims and `/flag` inside a claim for its settings menu.

- **Claim Wand**: Left-click point 1, right-click point 2, then shift + right-click to create the claim.
- **Subclaims**: Shift + left-click switches to subclaim mode so you can carve out areas inside a claim.
- **Trust**: Share your claim with `/trust`, `/containertrust`, `/accesstrust` or `/permissiontrust`, and remove it with `/untrust`.
- **Claim flags**: `/flag` sets rules like explosions, fluid flow, crop trampling, entry, item drops and flight.
- **Claim list**: `/claims list`s your claims and can teleport you to one.
- **Trading claim blocks**: `/withdrawclaimblocks` turns claim blocks into a redeemable item, with a minimum of 100.

**Note:** Teleporting to a claim through `/claims` costs $50,000, and `/claimwand` has a 1 minute cooldown.

**Tips**

- Survival Levels give 42,750 claim blocks in total, so levelling up is the main way to grow your claim.
- Rank kits give weekly and one-time claim blocks, from Squire up to Immortal.
- Use `/containertrust` for friends who only need your chests, not full build access.

[Full Land Claims guide with tables →](https://www.talonmc.net/survival/land-claims/)

## Survival Ranks and Perks

Ranks add homes, player warps, auction house slots and handy commands. They are bought with Credits, and the first rank, Squire, is free.

**How to open it:** Type `/freerank` to claim Squire for free.

There are currently 6 ranks.

- **Squire**: 1 home, 1 player warp, 1 auction slot and `/tpahere`, free with `/freerank`.
- **Knight**: 2 homes, 3 player warps, 3 auction slots and `/back`.
- **Baron**: 3 homes, 5 player warps, `/craft`, `/ec` and a Silk Touch spawner chance.
- **Duke**: 5 homes, 8 player warps, `/anvil`, `/fix`, `/feed` and 1.1x job XP.
- **Emperor**: 10 homes, unlimited player warps, 10 auction slots, `/fix all` and 1.2x job XP.
- **Immortal**: 15 homes, unlimited warps, 15 auction slots, 1.5x job XP, 1.4x job money and better Deadzone loot rarity.

**Note:** `/freerank` only works after 10 minutes of playtime, 2 votes and a linked Discord account.

**Tips**

- Claim Squire early, since it is free and gives `/tpahere`.
- Many rank commands, like `/back`, `/craft` and `/ec`, also unlock through Survival Levels.
- Survival Levels add 12 extra homes on top of your rank's homes.
