# TalonMC Gens Wiki **Short answer:** Gens is an Olympus-themed generators mode where you place generators on your island, sell what they drop and upgrade to better tiers. Between sells you farm, mine and fish with one Omnitool to prestige each world and unlock higher generators. You can play solo or team up with friends on one island, on Java or Bedrock. Steve at spawn starts the guided walkthrough, and every step pays a reward. - **Step 2**Go to the Farm with `/farm`, left-click grown crops with your Omnitool, then `/sell` your harvest for Money. - **Step 3**Make your own island with `/is create ` so you have somewhere to place generators. - **Step 4**Buy your first generator in `/genlist`, place it on your island and sell the drops with `/sell` or `/storage sell`. - **Step 5**Level the Farm to 5 and use `/prestige`. Each prestige raises your Total Prestige, which adds a generator slot. - **Step 6**Spend skill points in `/skilltree`, buy enchants in `/omnitool`, then unlock the Mine with `/mine` and the Lake with `/lake`. Each one sits on your island and drops an item on a timer, and you sell those drops for Money. Better tiers drop more valuable items, so climbing the tier ladder is how your income grows. **How to open it:** Buy generators in `/genlist` (or `/genshop`) and place them on your island. Use `/storage` to see stored drops, `/storage sell` to sell them, and `/claimallgens` to pick every generator back up. There are currently 80 generator tiers, from the Wheat Generator to the Beacon Generator. - **Free starter tiers**: Tiers 1 to 7, Wheat to Coal, need no prestige at all. - **Total Prestige gates**: Tier 8, the Iron Generator, opens at Total Prestige 96, and the Beacon Generator needs 2,250. - **Drop timer**: Each generator drops every 20 seconds, down to 10 seconds with the Generator Speed island upgrade. - **Generator slots**: You start with 20 slots and gain 1 more for every Total Prestige, plus rank and Genslot reward slots. - **Offline storage**: While you are offline, generators fill `/storage` for up to 8 hours, longer with a higher rank. - **Generator Loaders**: Small, Medium and Large Loaders keep generators in a 16, 32 or 64 block area producing while you are away. - **Generator Boosters**: Boosters I to V raise generator output in a 32 block area, from x1.05 up to x1.25. - **Infinite Storage**: Collects generator drops past the 128 hopper limit, across 3 tiers with 7 slots per tier. **Note:** You can only upgrade a generator to a tier your Total Prestige has already unlocked. **Tips** - Upgrade your best generators first. Each new tier is priced to pay itself back, so it usually beats buying many low tiers. - Keep every slot filled. Prestiging any world adds a slot, so check `/genlist` after each prestige. - Each island can hold 4 loaders and 4 boosters, so place them where your generators are packed closest together. - If too many drops pile up on the ground, new drops go to `/storage` at full value, so nothing is wasted. Example: Slots are 20 base, plus 1 per Total Prestige, plus your rank bonus. At Total Prestige 96 with Hermes (+5), you can place 20 + 96 + 5 = 121 generators, before any Genslot rewards. Each one pays its own coin and has its own level, prestige and skill tree. All three prestiges add up to your Total Prestige, which unlocks generators. **How to open it:** Travel with `/farm`, `/mine` and `/lake` (or `/fishing`, `/warp` fish). Pick your crop with `/crops`, your ore with `/ores`, and list the fish you can catch with `/fishes`. There are currently 18 crops at the Farm, 20 ores in the Mine and 4 fish at the Lake, plus 2 Sea Beasts. - **The Farm**: Left-click grown crops with your Scythe. Crops regrow in 3 seconds and new ones unlock with Farm prestige. - **The Mine**: Dig ores with your Pickaxe. Clearing a sparkling Pristine cluster gives +50% coins for 10 seconds. - **The Lake**: Cast your Rod into a pond to catch fish. A used pond rests for 10 seconds before you can fish it again. - **Fish rarities**: Raw Salmon is worth x1.5 a Raw Cod, Tropical Fish x2.5 and Pufferfish x5. - **Sea Beasts**: Sever the Kraken's tentacles within 20 seconds, or land harpoons on the Leviathan within 30 seconds, for treasure. - **World events**: Crop Circles can appear at the Farm, while Ore Fusion and the Ore Colossus show up in the Mine. - **Flow streaks**: Harvest 100 crops, mine 50 ores or catch 10 fish without stopping to trigger +20% world XP. - **Prestige**: Prestige N in a world needs that world at level 5 x N, and you can prestige up to 100 times in one click. **Note:** Flow does not stack. Triggering it again while it is active will not extend it. **Tips** - Flow breaks after 3 seconds without harvesting or mining, but the Lake gives you 45 seconds between catches. - Every 100 prestiges in a world raises its resource tier, up to tier 10. - Prestige all three worlds, not just one. Total Prestige counts them together, and so do your generator slots. Example: To reach Farm prestige 20 and unlock Carrots, your Farm needs level 5 x 20 = 100. It sits in your first hotbar slot and becomes a Scythe at the Farm, a Pickaxe at the Mine and a Rod at the Lake. Each form has its own enchants, tiers, abilities and attachments. **How to open it:** Open `/omnitool` (or `/enchants`) for enchants and tool tiers. Equip abilities with `/abilities`, attachments with `/attachments`, roll perks with `/perks`, and spend skill points in `/skilltree` (or `/skills`, `/st`). There are currently 128 enchants: 40 for the Farm, 45 for the Mine and 43 for the Lake, plus 12 abilities. - **Enchants**: Bought with each world's coins and unlocked at a world prestige, from Speed and Coin Fortune to Ascension. - **Enchant prestige**: Once an enchant hits max level you can prestige it up to 5 times, each adding 10% to its max level. - **Abilities**: Each form has a Booster, Lucky Blocks, a Skill and an Ultimate, unlocked with Ability Scrolls from crates. - **Boosters**: Golden Hour, Gold Rush and High Tide give x2.5 world coins for 45 seconds. - **Ultimates**: Crop Duster, Deepwyrm and Tsunami are the big moves, each on a 420 second cooldown. - **Tool tiers**: Upgrade each form through 50 tiers with Shards and Money. Its look changes at tiers 5, 10, 15, 20, 23 and 25. - **Attachments**: Boost one enchant's proc chance. Merge 3 of the same enchant and tier into the next tier, up to tier 15. - **Skill tree**: Each world has its own tree with tracks like Coin Growth, Proc Chance and Generator Value. Page two opens at prestige 1,000. **Note:** Tier 10 attachments cannot be merged, so do not count on them as merge fodder. **Tips** - Mastery raises the proc chance of your other enchants in that world, so it pairs well with a full enchant list. - The Generator Value skill tree track uses your best world tree, so you only need to push one world high. - Perks you roll with Tool Perk Points boost every world, not only the form you are holding. Example: A tool tier needs a world prestige of 1.6 x tier squared, rounded up. Tier 10 needs 1.6 x 100 = world prestige 160. Ranks add generator slots and companion slots, and Apollo and up also boost your Money and world coins. Each rank comes with a kit you can claim every 7 days. **How to open it:** See ranks and perks with `/store`. There are currently 6 Olympus god ranks: Hermes, Artemis, Apollo, Ares, Athena and Zeus. - **Hermes**: +5 generator slots, 3 companion slots and a weekly kit with a Farm Companion Box and 7 Common Keys. - **Artemis**: +10 generator slots, 3 companion slots, and the `/condense` command anywhere. - **Apollo**: +10% Money and coins, +15 generator slots, a 9 hour offline cap and 4 companion slots. - **Ares**: +15% Money and coins, +25 generator slots, a 10 hour offline cap and 4 companion slots. - **Athena**: +25% Money and coins, +40 generator slots, an 11 hour offline cap and 5 companion slots. - **Zeus**: +50% Money and coins, +60 generator slots, a 12 hour offline cap and 6 companion slots. - **Weekly kits**: Higher kits add Genslots, Companion Boxes and more keys. Athena and Zeus kits include Weekly Crates. **Note:** Hermes and Artemis add slots but no Money or coin boost. The boost starts at Apollo. **Tips** - Default players keep an 8 hour offline cap and 1 companion slot, so ranks mainly stretch time away and slots. - Claim your rank kit every 7 days. Ares, Athena and Zeus kits include Genslots, which add extra generator slots. - Everything in Gens can be progressed by playing, and free keys come from the tutorial, milestones, voting and the battle pass. Island upgrades boost the whole team, and every week islands race on the competition boards. Milestones reward your lifetime totals on top. **How to open it:** Create an island with `/is create ` and open the island menu with `/is`. Invite friends with `/is invite `, buy upgrades in `/is upgrade`s, and check the race with `/competition` or `/top`. There are currently 7 island upgrades, 4 weekly competition boards and 5 milestone tracks. - **Generator Speed**: Cuts the time between drops from 20 seconds to 10 seconds over 10 levels. - **Offline Production**: Cuts offline drops from 40 seconds each to 20 seconds over 5 levels. - **Generator Value**: Raises drop value by 2% per level, up to +20% at level 10. - **World coin upgrades**: Farm Coins, Mine Coins and Lake Coins each go up to +50% over 10 levels. - **Team Size**: Raises your island from 7 members to 10 over 3 levels. - **Competition boards**: Farming, Mining, Fishing and Generator Drops. The top 100 islands are ranked each week. - **Milestones**: Playtime, Farming, Mining, Fishing and Prestige tracks pay keys, Credits, income pouches and attachment boxes. **Note:** Only generator drops that get sold count on the Generator Drops board. **Tips** - Enchant procs count toward the Farming, Mining and Fishing boards, so strong enchants help your team climb. - Sell your generator drops often during the week to keep your island climbing the Generator Drops board. - World coin upgrades are paid in that world's coins, not Money, so spend spare coins there. - The first playtime milestone arrives at 10 minutes, so early rewards come fast. Example: Generator Speed takes drops from every 20 seconds to every 10 seconds, so one generator goes from 180 drops an hour to 360. Pets are a separate slot that boost Money, a world coin or world XP. Hero pets also put on an ability show that pays out in their world. **How to open it:** Hatch, equip and fuse companions in `/companions` using Orbs. Equip pets in `/pets`. There are currently 81 companion eggs and 15 companion species, plus normal and hero pets. - **Companion eggs**: Better eggs unlock every 25 world prestige, from the Starter Egg up to the Ascendant Egg at 2,000. - **Egg power**: Eggs grow stronger as you climb, from x1.0 for the Starter Egg up to x5.25 for the Ascendant Egg. - **Species**: Each world has 5 species from Common to Mythical, topped by the Mooshroom, Enderman and Dolphin. - **Fusion**: Fuse 5 of the same companion to try for the next tier: Luck, Shiny, Rainbow, then Void. - **Normal pets**: Farm Coin, Mine Coin, Lake Coin, Money and World XP pets each boost one income type. - **Hero pets**: Each world has a hero pet that puts on an ability show that pays out. - **Companion slots**: 1 by default, 3 to 6 with ranks, and up to 5 with Companion Slot Vouchers. **Note:** A failed fusion destroys all 5 companions you put in. **Tips** - Only fuse spare companions you can afford to lose, and keep your best ones equipped. - Eggs unlock by that world's prestige, so push one world higher to reach stronger eggs there. - Orb Finder and other Mine enchants find Orbs, which is what you spend on eggs. - Pets level up as you gather, so keep your best pet equipped while you grind. Money comes from selling, each world pays its own coin, and Orbs and Shards feed companions and your tool. Your backpack, armor and the AFK zone help you earn more of all of them. **How to open it:** Open your backpack with `/backpack` (or `/bag`), check armor with `/armor` and AFK upgrades with `/afk`. Use the Condense Table at spawn, or `/condense` with Artemis rank and above. There are currently 8 currencies, 6 backpack tiers, 4 backpack enchants and 12 armor rarities. - **Money**: Earned by selling generator drops and gathered items, and spent on generators, island upgrades and backpack tiers. - **World coins**: Farm, Mine and Lake Coins come from their worlds and buy that world's enchants. - **Orbs and Shards**: Orbs hatch companion eggs. Shards pay for Omnitool tiers and backpack enchants. - **Condense Table**: Packs 32 crops into one condensed item, three times over, so you carry far more. - **Backpack**: Sits in hotbar slot 9 and collects crops, ores, fish and generator drops, from 5,000 up to 50,000,000 items. - **Backpack enchants**: Auto Sell, Sell Boost, Magnet and Compactor, each with 5 levels. - **Armor**: Levels up from Armor XP as you farm, mine and fish, boosting all world coins and world XP up to level 100. - **AFK zone**: Earn 15% of your measured active income while idle. Deep Sleep raises it and Dreams adds bonus reward chances. **Note:** The `/condense` command needs Artemis rank or above, but everyone can use the Condense Table at spawn. **Tips** - The backpack durability bar shows free space, so watch it or get Auto Sell to sell when it fills. - Magnet pulls nearby generator drops into your backpack, from 4 blocks up to 12 blocks. - Tool Perk Points come from rewards and roll Omnitool perks in `/perks`. - Your armor changes look as it levels, from Leather at Common to Netherite at Insanity. Example: Condensing three times multiplies by 32 each step: 32 x 32 x 32 = 32,768 base crops in one Enchanted crop block. Crates and boxes hand out keys, attachments, boosters, companion eggs and income pouches. Together they are a steady stream of extras on top of your grind. **How to open it:** Check your booster vouchers with `/boosters` (or `/vouchers`). Preview any crate in game to see what it holds. There are currently 150 battle pass tiers. - **Battle pass XP**: Quests give pass XP, plus 1 XP for every 1,500 crops, 1,500 ores or 200 fish. - **Vote Crate**: Opened with Vote Keys from voting for the server. - **Key crates**: Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary Crates use keys from milestones, the tutorial, the battle pass, rank kits and Key Finder enchants. - **Attachment Box**: Tiers 1 to 9, each giving one random attachment of that tier. - **Booster Box**: One random +50% Money, Farm, Mine or Lake Coins voucher for 30 minutes. - **Companion Boxes**: Farm, Mine and Lake boxes each give one companion egg for that world. - **Pouches**: Coin Pouches and Money Pouches pay hours of your own income when opened. **Note:** Drop chances are not listed here, so preview any crate in game before you open it. **Tips** - Key Finder at the Farm and Key Fortune in the Mine and Lake find crate keys while you grind. - Premium is bought separately, but the free track still pays as you level. - Ability Scrolls for your Omnitool come from crates, so open keys to unlock new abilities. Example: Pass XP from gathering is 1 per 1,500 crops, so harvesting 15,000 crops earns 10 pass XP before quests. Every step pays a reward, and finishing it pays a big completion bundle. It is the fastest way to learn the loop. **How to open it:** Type `/tutorial` to start. Steve at `/spawn` begins and ends the walkthrough. There are currently 8 chapters and 34 steps in the tutorial. - **Steve**: Found at spawn, he starts the tutorial and you report back to him to graduate. - **Farmer Bob**: Waits at `/farm` and asks you to bring him 320 Wheat. - **Digger Doug**: Waits at `/mine` and asks you to bring him 150 ores. - **Fisherman Finn**: Waits at `/lake` and asks you to bring him 25 fish. - **Tamer Tess**: Gives you the companion tour at spawn. - **Spawn guides**: Banker Barry explains currencies, Sleepy Sam covers AFK earning and Coach Cole explains the weekly competition. - **Completion bundle**: 10 Rare, 5 Epic and 2 Legendary Keys, 60 minutes of income per world, eggs, a loader, 5 Tool Perk Points and 25 Credits. **Note:** Steve starts and ends the tutorial, so report back to him at the end to graduate. **Tips** - Chapter 2 has you place, sell and upgrade a generator, so make your island early with `/is create `. - Later steps ask for an Omnitool Tier II upgrade and an island upgrade, so save some Money and Shards. - Follow the floating marker when you are unsure where to go next.
