## Deadzone: how it works

The Deadzone is a PvE extraction mode in its own world. You loot crates, fight Thugs, Cops and bosses, then stand on an Extraction Pad to bank your haul. There is no PvP inside: the zone itself is the enemy.

**How to open it:** Type `/dz` to open the Deadzone menu, then use `/dz join` to drop in. Type `/extract` to find the nearest open Extraction Pad and your channel time.

There are currently 3 loot rings, 6 loot tiers, 6 bosses and 6 contract types.

- **Your own gear**: You always keep your own gear, even if you die.
- **Unsecured loot**: Loot you have not extracted is lost if you die before reaching a pad.
- **Safe pocket**: Your rarest reward is kept automatically, and Deep Pockets upgrades add more slots.
- **Loot rings**: The Outskirts, Inner Ring and Dead Center get tougher and richer the deeper you go.
- **Day and Night Raids**: They swap every 30 minutes. Night has better loot and 1.5x voucher payout but tougher enemies.
- **Wanted level**: Up to 10 stars rise with the value you carry, bringing bigger Cop squads but better loot.
- **Bosses**: A new boss spawns in Dead Center every 20 minutes, and the top 3 damagers get a Legendary pull.
- **The Vault**: Stand on it for 15 seconds without being hit to win 2 Legendary pulls and a $3M voucher.

**Note:** Vouchers drop on the ground when you die and are never protected, so extract before you push your luck.

**Tips**

- Your first 3 runs come with a free iron armor, iron sword and food starter kit.
- You get 3 contracts per run, worth $2.5M to $6M each, but they only pay when you extract.
- Stepping off a pad cancels extraction and taking a hit pauses it, so clear nearby mobs first.
- Logging out in combat drops everything, and repeating a teleport within 10 seconds abandons the run.

Example: Extraction takes 10 seconds plus 1 second per $5M carried. Carrying $15M means a 13 second channel on the pad.

## Deadzone explained

Deadzone is TalonMC Survival's extraction mode, in its own world. Type /dz and join to drop in at a spot away from the center and other players. Loot crates, fight Thugs, Cops and bosses, then stand on an Extraction Pad to bank everything you found.
There is no PvP inside the Deadzone: the zone itself is the enemy. You always keep your own gear. What you risk is the unsecured loot you are carrying: die before you extract and it is gone, except your rarest reward which sits in your safe pocket.
Day Raid and Night Raid swap every 30 minutes. Nights have better loot, more mobs and higher voucher payouts, but tougher enemies and only 2 open pads. The more value you carry, the higher your wanted level climbs, bringing bigger Cop squads but better loot.
Extracting turns vouchers into money, secures your rewards and pays Deadzone Points, which you spend with money on permanent upgrades like Deep Pockets, Quick Hands, Smuggler Ties, Scout Instinct, Bounty Broker and Cold Blood. Deadzone Fragments (hold up to 500) buy armor crate keys in /dz shop at 100 fragments each.

- First 3 runs come with a free iron starter kit.
- Ender pearls have a 10 second cooldown and instant health potions do not work.
- Deadzone charms go in hotbar slot 9 and only work inside the zone.
- /extract points you to the nearest open pad.

## Deadzone loot rings
The Deadzone map has three rings. The deeper you go, the better the crates and the tougher the mobs.

| Ring | Where | Mobs you meet |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Outskirts | Outer map | Thug, Gunman, Looter |
| Inner Ring | Within 175 blocks of center | Adds Brute, Arsonist, Cop, Medic |
| Dead Center | Within 115 blocks of center | Adds SWAT, Sniper, Captain; bosses spawn here; The Vault opens here |

## Deadzone loot tiers
Loot crates roll rewards in six rarity tiers. Legendary and Black Case pulls are announced to the server. Each crate can be looted every 10 minutes and the crate layout reshuffles every 30 minutes.

| Tier | What it can contain |
| --- | --- |
| Common | Money, XP bottles, ender pearls, golden apples, credits, Obsidian keys |
| Uncommon | More money, enchanted golden apples, Protection IV and Unbreaking III books, Obsidian keys, credits, 1 hour job XP and job money boosters |
| Rare | Money, shulker shells, Mending, Fortune III and Looting III books, beacons, Blaze, Guardian and Witch spawners, multiplier vouchers |
| Epic | Larger money, spawners, infinite rockets, armor crate keys, infinite blocks, charms, Deadzone Fragments |
| Legendary | Very large money, elytra, netherite items, beacons, sellwand, cycler, Extract Stick, Deadzone charms, gear from the Witch, Valhalla, Magic and Eclipse sets, cosmetic sets, crate keys |
| Black Case | Multiple crate keys, Frostbite and Hellborn armor, tools, charms and relics, wings and crowns |

## Deadzone extraction rules
What you keep, what you risk and how extraction works, as players see it.

| Rule | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| PvP | None. Player damage is cancelled; the zone itself is the enemy. |
| Your own gear | Always kept, even if you die. |
| Unsecured loot | Lost if you die before extracting. |
| Vouchers | Drop on the ground when you die; never protected. |
| Safe pocket | Your rarest reward is kept automatically (1 slot, +1 per Deep Pockets tier, up to 2 tiers). |
| Extraction Pads | 8 locations, 4 open at a time (2 at night). They change every phase. |
| Extraction channel | 10 seconds, plus 1 second per $5M carried, up to 25 seconds. Upgrades and gear can lower it to a minimum of 5 seconds. Stepping off cancels; taking a hit pauses. |
| Smuggler fee | 10% of vouchers on extract, reduced 1% per Smuggler Ties tier. |
| Day and Night Raids | Swap every 30 minutes with a 2 minute warning. Night has better loot, more mobs, 1.5x voucher payout and tougher enemies. |
| Wanted level | Up to 10 stars, rising with the value you carry. More stars bring bigger Cop squads but boost loot. Extracting clears it. |
| Logging out | 2 minutes to relog and resume, then the run is voided. Logging out in combat drops everything. |
| Teleporting out | Spawn, home, warp, tpa and rtp ask you to confirm; repeating within 10 seconds abandons the run. |
| Blocked in the zone | Building, elytra flight, trade, auction house, vaults, shop and sell, kits, ender chest, pay |
| Starter kit | Free iron armor, iron sword and food for your first 3 runs. |
| Bosses | A new boss every 20 minutes in Dead Center. Top 3 damagers get a Legendary pull; others with 20+ damage get 2 Rare pulls. |
| The Vault | Stand on it 15 seconds without being hit. First to crack it gets 2 Legendary pulls and a $3M voucher. |

## Deadzone bosses
Bosses spawn in Dead Center and get more health when more players are nearby.

| Boss | Signature move |
| --- | --- |
| The Warlord | Ground slam that hits for a third of your health |
| The Riot Captain | Crossbow volleys |
| The Kingpin | Keeps calling in Thugs |
| The Surgeon | Heals the mobs around it |
| The Juggernaut | Shield guard |
| The Broadcaster | Calls in Cop squads |

## Deadzone contracts
You get 3 contracts per run, paid when you extract.

| Contract | Goal | Payout |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Cull | 15 kills | $2.5M |
| Cop Killer | 6 Cops or SWAT | $4M |
| Brute Force | 3 Brutes | $3.5M |
| Scavenger Run | Loot 6 crates | $2.5M |
| Deep Dive | Loot 3 crates near the center | $5M |
| Payday | Extract carrying $5M or more | $6M |
