# TalonMC Skyblock Beginner's Guide

**Short answer:** Join `play.talonmc.net`, pick Skyblock in the hub, then follow the steps below. Join play.talonmc.net (Java, or Bedrock on port 19132) and choose Skyblock.

## Your first hour on TalonMC Skyblock

- **Step 1**Join play.talonmc.net (Java, or Bedrock on port 19132) and choose Skyblock.
- **Step 2**Type /is create <name> to make your island right away. Run /tutorial if you want the guided start.
- **Step 3**Open /freekits and claim the one-time Catchup kit (32 Villager Spawners, a Collector Chest, Fire Scrolls and Skill XP boosters).
- **Step 4**Hold your Harvester Hoe and farm wheat; it auto-sells and pays Crop Coins. Claim level rewards in /skills as you go.
- **Step 5**Spend Crop Coins in /upgrade on Crop Coin Finder, Crop Crusher and Vein Farmer first.
- **Step 6**Place the spawners and Collector Chests your early Farming, Combat and other skill rewards give you, then build a simple mob farm under a chunk hopper and sell chest.
- **Step 7**Visit the Mining World with /mine and the Foraging World with /forage to start those skills and their coins.
- **Step 8**Check /events: grind the skill that matches the current boosts.
- **Step 9**Vote every day with /vote to build your streak, and check /dailyquests and /bp for easy extra rewards.
- **Step 10**Invite friends with /is invite; bigger co-op islands progress faster and compete on the Co-op island top.

Season 9 started on 12 September 2026. Season 8 ran from 1 August to 9 September 2026.

**What is the difference between Skyblock and Gens?**
Skyblock is about building an island and leveling skills from almost nothing. Gens is about placing generators that produce items, upgrading them up a tier ladder and selling the output. TalonMC runs both.

**What is the TalonMC Skyblock Bedrock IP and port?**
Address `play.talonmc.net`, port `19132`. Add it in the Servers tab, join, and pick Skyblock in the hub.

**Is TalonMC Skyblock classic Skyblock or OneBlock?**
Island Skyblock in the RPG style: you build out your own island and level five skills. It is not OneBlock.
