# Prison Mine Bosses and the Mega Boss

## Prison Mine Bosses and the Mega Boss: how it works

Mine bosses spawn while you hand-mine in your own mine and drop keys, lootboxes, lucky blocks and Credits. Three times a day, a server-wide Mega Boss rises and pays Weekly Crates and Credits by damage rank.

**How to open it:** Use `/bosses` for loot and your stats, and `/megaboss` for the next fight, prizes and live standings. `/bosstop` and `/megatop` show the leaderboards.

There are currently 4 mine boss rarities: Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary.

- **Spawn chance**: A base 1 in 18,000 hand-mined blocks, improved to 1 in 15,000 with Boss Hunter at level 1,000.
- **Damage**: Each hand-mined block deals 1 damage, and glowing weak spots deal double.
- **Escape**: A boss escapes after 10 minutes, or if you leave your mine.
- **Legendary Zombie Boss**: The top rarity with 6,500 HP, 4 loot drops and the only Mythical Lucky Block drop.
- **Mega Boss times**: Every day at 10AM, 3PM and 9PM ET, lasting up to 30 minutes.
- **Mega Boss first place**: Pays a Weekly Crate, 150 Credits, Booster and Salvage Crates, lootboxes and boxes.

**Note:** No mine bosses spawn in the 5 minutes before a Mega Boss.

**Tips**

- Hit weak spots when they glow, since they deal 2x damage.
- To qualify for Mega Boss rewards, deal hits equal to 0.3% of its starting HP, between 50 and 2,000.
- If the Mega Boss survives the 30 minutes, every bracket is paid one tier lower, so keep mining.
- Offline Mega Boss winners are paid when they rejoin.

Example: A Legendary Zombie Boss has 6,500 HP. Without weak spots, that takes 6,500 hand-mined blocks within 10 minutes.

## Mine bosses and the Mega Boss

Mine bosses spawn while you hand-mine in your own mine, at a base 1 in 18,000 blocks (1 in 15,000 with Boss Hunter at level 1,000). A BOSS INCOMING build-up plays, then a Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary Zombie Boss appears above your mine. Every hand-mined block deals 1 damage and glowing weak spots deal double. Kill it within 10 minutes to get its loot; it escapes if you leave your mine.
The Mega Boss rises at 10AM, 3PM and 9PM ET every day. Everyone fights it by hand-mining in their own /mine for up to 30 minutes. Its HP scales with the number of active players and adjusts during the fight. Once you qualify, you are paid by damage rank, from 150 Credits and a Weekly Crate for first place down to boosters, lootboxes and hero pet eggs for everyone who qualified.
/bosses shows the loot tables and your stats, /megaboss shows the next fight, prizes and standings, and /bosstop and /megatop show the leaderboards.

## Mine boss rarities
Mine bosses spawn while you hand-mine in your own mine (base 1 in 18,000 blocks, improved by the Boss Hunter enchant up to 1 in 15,000). Each hand-mined block deals 1 damage, glowing weak spots deal 2x, and a boss escapes after 10 minutes or if you leave your mine.

## Mega Boss schedule
The Mega Boss is a server-wide event fought from your own /mine. Warnings go out 10, 5 and 1 minute before it rises. The fight lasts up to 30 minutes and its HP scales with the number of active players.

## Mega Boss prize table
Rewards are paid by damage rank to everyone who qualifies (hits equal to 0.3% of the boss's starting HP, minimum 50, capped at 2,000). If the boss survives the 30 minutes, every bracket is paid one tier lower. Offline winners are paid when they rejoin.

**Is there a prison server with gangs and bosses?**
Yes. TalonMC Prison has gangs with hourly, daily and weekly gang tops, mine bosses in four rarities and three Mega Boss fights a day.

**When is the Mega Boss?**
