How to Start Playing on TalonMC (Beginner Guide + Pickaxe Upgrades)

If you're new to TalonMC or Minecraft Prison in general, this guide will get you locked in fast. From mining to ranking up, to unlocking OP enchants on your pickaxe — here’s everything you need to know to get started on the most community-driven Prison server out right now.

🔌 Step 1: Join the Server

  • Java IP: play.talonmc.net
  • Bedrock IP: bedrock.talonmc.net

TalonMC supports both Java & Bedrock editions, so whether you're on PC, console, or mobile — you're good.

⛏ Step 2: Start Mining

As soon as you log in, you'll get access to your starter pickaxe and your first mine.
Just start mining blocks to earn tokens

  • Use /mine goto level up through the ranks
  • The more you rank, the more features and mines unlock

Pro Tip: Each mine gets progressively faster and more rewarding. Stay active and you'll move up quick.

💎 Step 3: Upgrade Your Pickaxe

This is where TalonMC really takes off.

Your pickaxe isn’t just a tool — it’s your main progression system.

Right click to your pickaxe to spend tokens and unlock OP enchants like:

  • Jackhammer – Breaks full layers of blocks
  • Token Miner – Boosts how many tokens you earn
  • Nuke – Randomly blasts out chunks for massive payouts
  • Key Finder – Gets you crate keys while mining
  • Wild Blaze - Get a blaze to destroy your mine
  • Vein Miner– Smash your mine into pieces

The more you mine, the more tokens you earn — and the more powerful your pickaxe becomes.
You’ll eventually unlock rebirths, multipliers, and more enchants over time.
