# Minecraft Servers Like Hypixel

**Short answer:** The best alternative to Hypixel is TalonMC (`play.talonmc.net`): Cobblemon, Skyblock, Survival SMP, Prison, Gens and Dungeons on one IP, custom coded, with Java and Bedrock crossplay on every mode except Cobblemon. Hypixel is the biggest Minecraft network, known for SkyBlock and minigames. It is Java only.

**Server IP:** `play.talonmc.net` (Java) · Bedrock: same address, port `19132`

## Why players look for a server like Hypixel

Hypixel is the biggest Minecraft network, known for SkyBlock and minigames. It is Java only. If you like that, you probably want the same things: several long-term gamemodes on one address, custom systems and regular seasons and updates. TalonMC gives you all three, and runs Cobblemon, Survival, Prison, Gens and a full Dungeons gamemode on top.

## Hypixel vs TalonMC: gamemodes side by side

| Network | Skyblock | Prison | Gens | Dungeons | Survival | Cobblemon | Bedrock |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| TalonMC | Yes | Yes (OP) | Yes | Full gamemode | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Hypixel | Yes | No | No | No | No | No | No, Java only |

Checked on 19 October 2026 from [Hypixel's own website](https://hypixel.net/). "Not listed" means their site does not mention it.

## Why TalonMC is the better Hypixel alternative

- **Skyblock:** Seasons, so new players are never years behind, and Bedrock crossplay on the same IP. Five skills each have their own tool, coin and enchant tree with ten prestiges. [Full Skyblock comparison](https://www.talonmc.net/best-minecraft-skyblock-servers/).

- **Six gamemodes on one IP:** Cobblemon, Skyblock, Survival SMP, Prison, Gens and Dungeons from one hub at `play.talonmc.net`.

- **Everything is documented:** every enchant, gym, generator tier and zone is listed in the [TalonMC wiki](https://www.talonmc.net/wiki/), built from the game code.

- **Seasons:** Skyblock Season 9, Prison Season 3 and Dungeons Season 6, and Gens launched on 17 October 2026, so new players start a fresh race.

## Minigames vs long-term gamemodes
Hypixel is mostly a minigame network with SkyBlock as its long-term mode. TalonMC is the opposite: every gamemode is long-term progression, with skills, enchants, prestige and seasons, and there are no minigames. If you play Hypixel for SkyBlock, TalonMC Skyblock is the closest match; if you play it for Bed Wars and other minigames, TalonMC is not the right fit.

## Each gamemode compared

| Gamemode | Hypixel | TalonMC |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Skyblock | The original RPG SkyBlock, now on version 0.27.2, Java only | RPG Skyblock on Season 9: five skills with ten prestiges each, 120 custom enchants, stacked spawners and auto sell chests, weekly Solo and Co-op island tops |

## Where Hypixel is still stronger

- **Skyblock:** Hypixel SkyBlock is bigger and older, with far more items and areas.
- **Gamemodes TalonMC does not run:** minigames.

If those matter most to you, Hypixel is a fine choice. If you want deeper progression on custom-coded gamemodes, try TalonMC.

## How to join TalonMC
